James R. Cummins, President/CEO
Founder of CMS Research, a leading provider of IVR and Internet
data collection for the marketing research industry. Prior to
founding CMS Research, was co-owner of PinPoint Research, Managing
Partner of Strategic Research and Consulting, and Executive Vice
President of NFO Research. Over 35 years of market research experience
with the last 15 focused on automating the interview process to
enhance the respondent cooperation while reducing the cost and
timing. Member of the American Marketing Association, Council

Barbara
M. Nye, Senior Vice President
Senior Vice President at CMS, has been with the firm since its
inception. Over 20 years experience working in the Market Research
Industry, previously holding marketing and operations positions
at NFO Research and PinPoint Research. For the last 12 years she
has been involved in the marketing and coordination of IVR as
a data collection methodology. Has written several articles on
IVR and Automated Interviewing Services for the MRA and other
research publications. Barb is a past secretary of the Great Lakes
chapter of MRA and currently Past Chair of the RIF committee of
MRA.

Jenni
Banister, Director - Client Service
Director of Client Service at CMS, has been with the company since
1996 in a number of roles, including Quality Control. After being
a Sr. Project Director she was promoted to Director of Client
Services and is responsible for the management and coordination
of numerous projects for CMS clients.

Jason
Kean, Manager of Information Technology
As Manager of Information Technology, he oversees the computers
that support the office, store the data and run the IVR systems
along with the T1’s that provide the phone lines. He coordinates
all outbound/inbound IVR and internet interviews for CMS Research,
as well as helps with the data file, online reporting and automation
to help streamline the backend.

Ange Lutz, Senior Transcriptionist
While we have several transcriptionists to type our open ends,
some that come in and some that work from home, we have Ange that
has been with us 5 years and in the business much longer. She’s
heard it all and still remains dedicated, coming back for more,
even on the worst of snow days. She keeps us “fueled”
with a constant supply of snacks and chocolate in the break room,
and we love her for that and much, much more.
